WomeneurCon 2017 is proud to welcome entrepreneur and jewelry designer – Malyia Mcnaughton to its event participant lineup.

A Bronx native, Florida State University alum and all-around girl boss is making major moves in the fashion industry. Leaving a 9-to-5 to pursue her passion for jewelry design, Malyia is the entrepreneur other entrepreneurs dream of being and the fabulous founder of Made by Malyia.

Creating major buzz when spotted out with her very first chain, her brand eventually became a summer festival sensation. She has been featured in Vogue magazines “Best Street Style at AfroPunk Festival 2015”, which led her to being scouted and signed.

Many know the story of Cinderella, the same can also be said about Malyia. Following her debut on The Today Show, where she experienced a hair make-under, she became a viral sensation within a few hours. Many things were said about the segment and her inclusion, but the most important thing was how she handled the backlash with such grace and professionalism. Following the viral hair debacle Malyia has put much focus on bringing awareness to the lack of diversity and inclusion in the beauty and fashion industry. Sharing her story with The Tom Joyner
